Egyptian Museum Located in the central area on the edge of Medan Tahir Opened in 1902.
Its realization was intended to accommodate the memory of Ancient Egypt. Inside the museum houses the largest archaeological collection in the world of testimonies dating back to that time.
About 120,000 artifacts, including the content of the tomb of Tutankhamen and most of the mummies discovered since the 19th century.
The testimonies on display date back to an historical period between the beginnings of the Old Kingdom (approximately dating back to 2700 BC) up to the Greek-Roman period.

The great pyramids of Giza
